Meraki House – modern holiday villa with sea view in Crete

Welcome to Meraki House – your sanctuary of peace, style and soul in the sunny southeast of Crete. Completed in July 2025, this modern holiday home sits above the charming village of Makrigialos and offers space for up to eight guests – perfect for families or friends seeking relaxation, sunshine and stylish design.

Surrounded by olive trees, the bright white villa with natural accents and soft earth tones blends perfectly into the landscape. Inside, clean lines, handcrafted elements and light wood, rattan lamps and beige hues create a calming, Mediterranean atmosphere.

The spacious living and dining area with floor-to-ceiling windows opens onto a large terrace with pergola, outdoor lounge, al fresco dining table and a private pool with counter-current system. The pool can be heated (optional, daily energy surcharge applies) – ideal for off-season stays.

The main bedroom is located upstairs, with its own en-suite bathroom and a private balcony offering stunning sea views. Two additional en-suite bedrooms with balconies are also on the upper floor. A fourth en-suite bedroom is on the ground floor, along with a separate guest WC.

All bathrooms are equipped with underfloor heating. For year-round comfort, each room includes air conditioning with heating function. A rooftop photovoltaic system provides hot water sustainably.

The long sandy beach of Makrigialos is about 15 minutes away on foot, as are local shops, cafés and taverns. A rental car is highly recommended to explore secluded bays, remote beaches and traditional Cretan restaurants.
